This is where Joel's mantra of "I'm not gay!" comes from. In college, I spent a number
of years trying to convice some of my friends I wasn't gay. They were gay, and figured if
I was perfectly comfortable going clubbing at gay discos with them, I must be gay too.
What they didn't realize was that I went to the gay clubs for the free drinks! At the
lambda dances, I knew what it was like to be a pretty, pretty girl at a straight bar.
Free booze in exchange for an occasional grope. Pretty sweet deal! |
