When I was a kid, one of my favorite toys of all time was the
Radio Shack ARMATRON. Boy howdy, I spent hours picking incredibly
light things up, moving them half a foot, and setting them down.
In stacks.
IN STACKS MAN!
Here's the coolest thing, though.
Highschool
kids GET TO BUILD ROBOTS FOR COMPETITIONS THESE DAYS! In fact,
the Armatron 3000 is partially inspired by a
robot built by a certain reader's highschool team! (Thanks Keith!)
Tragically, you don't get to battle your robots to the death. But you
do get to build robots that have to overcome different obstacles each
year!
If you're in highschool and reading this comic, don't you think your
time could be better spent building robots? FOR WORLD DOMINATION! Or
just to compete? |
